Reading Reading Books, LLC is an independently owned and operated publishing company located in Reading, Pennsylvania.  The goal of Reading Reading Books, LLC is to provide a variety of low cost, readable books for young readers. 

What we do...

The books published by Reading Reading Books, LLC are written to promote a young reader's enjoyment of literature... with books they can really read!  Each book is carefully developed by an experienced, certified K-12 Reading Specialist, with a concentration in the area of primary literacy.  Our books are ideal for a variety of students including:  lower level first graders, on level pre-kindergarten and kindergarteners, elementary school children with special needs, and English as a Second Language learners.  Our books are so versatile that teachers may use them for reading group instruction or  independent reading.  They are also perfect for tutors, pull-out programs, and home reading.

Why choose us?

Our books are specifically designed for beginning readers.  They are based on topics and events that are important to children.  The text is clear and basic, yet very readable.  The illustrations and photographs are purposefully direct, encouraging the reader to focus on words and story.    Each book also possesses an introduction to the story on the back cover.  This brief paragraph is perfect for teachers and parents to read aloud.  It's written to generate prior knowledge and peak interest in the story.  Also, since  Reading Reading Books, LLC is an independent publisher, we are able to offer books at a reasonable cost. 

About the Author:  Kris Bonnell is a certified K-12 Reading Specialist with over 10 years experience with primary literacy.  She has taught first grade, second grade, and Reading Recovery as well as worked as a K-5 Reading Specialist.  Kris holds a B.S. from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, a Master’s in the Science of Teaching from S.U.N.Y. Potsdam as well as a Master’s in Reading, Language and Literacy with a Reading Specialist Endorsement from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.  Kris lives in suburban Reading, Pennsylvania with her husband, son and two cats.
